How scoring works: Krillion
Your game score comes from your own puzzle result. Your party rank compares that score with your party's submissions for the same day.
Quick summary
Seven prompts a day, one answer each — the rarer your answer, the deeper you dive and the more points you score, up to 100 per prompt. In a party, whoever dove deepest ranks highest.
How to score well
- Skip the obvious — the first answer everyone thinks of is Plankton (10 points); a genuinely uncommon one is Rare (60) or Deep Cut (85).
- Beware 'Too Clever' — the famous 'obscure' pick that everyone also reaches for is worth only 15.
- Never let the clock run out — a miss scores 0, while even a Plankton answer scores 10.
- Each day has one designated gem worth 100 — the 'One in a Krillion' answer — but it's chosen for fun as much as rarity, so don't bank on it.
- Every completed dive counts — there's no losing, only shallower dives.
How ranking works in parties
- Higher point totals rank higher within the party.
- Unsolved (DNF) entries earn 0 points for the day.
- Tied totals share the same competition rank (1, 1, 3).
Example
In a 3-player party Alice scores 410, Bob scores 255, Carol logs a DNF. Alice earns 3 points (1st), Bob earns 2, Carol earns 0.
